Hmm the only reason he was put with the one year olds was he walking. One year olds can use their fingers very well so they can play with far more complex fun toys. 6 month olds however cannot use their fingers so they play with toys by trying to grab it between their fists or putting a fish through a toy and shaking it. I think that's were going to get his toys - the six month old section of toy stores. 6 month olds also start crawling. So  given they were probably stocking 6 month old toys specially for him because he was walking when he was made to crawl he should have been sent to be one the 6 month olds he could actually play with as crawling peers with the same toys. :)
