Ballet's So Easy
« on: September 07, 2020, 04:32:57 PM »
A few others were saying that there's a dearth of ballet stories on this site, so I figured I'd remedy that. I have a few short ballet stories like the one you see below. If people are interested, I can share them here. We'll start with Ballet's So Easy! and its sequel and then, if there's interest, maybe I'll post some other stories in this same thread since they're all pretty short and not really long enough to require their own threads. We'll see how it goes, hmm? Without further ado, I bring you... Ballet's So Easy!

"What's so hard about it? You just twirl and prance around."

"It takes a lot of balance and" Daisy stopped and smirked at her brother. It had been a long-standing debate between them, whether or not her ballet classes were harder than his soccer practice. "Fine. Why don't you go ahead and show me how easy it is?" For a second, she thought Danny might just do it, but he shook his head.

"No way." Daisy smirked.

"Then admit that it's harder than soccer."

"It isn't!"

"Then show me that it's so easy. You're good at soccer, so you must be amazing at ballet." Danny sighed. "Go on. Prove it." Even though she witnessed it, Daisy could barely believe what happened next. Danny began to twirl and prance around the room, doing his best to mimic Daisy's performance at her last recital. Even in his red basketball shorts and black t-shirt, it was undeniably feminine and amazing, even as his sock-clad feet slid on the floor. His enthusiasm was almost startling. Thankfully, she had had the common sense to pull her phone out and record most of it. "Something like that," he said, panting softly. Daisy grinned.

"Well, you don't really get the feel of it unless you wear the right outfit." She showed him the video. "See? You look ridiculous."

"Delete that." All the color had drained from his face.

"I will, if you do another demonstration for me. In the proper outfit." It took them a few minutes to hash out the terms. Danny would wear the outfit Daisy gave him, but he could keep his own underwear on. She would give him $1 for every minute he stayed in the outfit, but only if he did not hide. She would delete the video and was only allowed to take a single photo, which she could never show to anyone. They shook hands and Daisy sent her brother into his room with his arms full of tights, the leotard and tutu, and even a pair of ears. It was her exact outfit from the last recital.
Daisy almost collapsed from laughing as her brother emerged from the room, the black tutu erupting out around his waist, the fluffy black straps of the leotard on his slender boyish shoulders.

"Set the timer." He said through gritted teeth.

"Alright, now demonstrate how easy ballet is, Danny Ballerina." She had to fight the urge to secretly record it as he twirled and pranced. He had a natural ballet talent, but she knew she would never be able to get him into a class.

"Can I change?" He asked.

"You've earned eight dollars already, but I still need my photo." He stood there, hands on his hips, standing in a very boyish fashion despite his outfit.

"Take it."

"Oh, no. It's gotta be special!"

"What? Why?"

"The longer it takes, the more money you make, Danielle."

"Don't call me that!"

"Come over to the stairs." She stood on one of them and demonstrated the pose. With one hand draped delicately on the banister, she put the other on her hip, raising one leg so that her foot rested on the other leg's knee. "Think you can do that? Ballet's easy after all." Danny took his position, grumbling as Daisy milked every minute getting him just right. She took the photo and grinned as she heard the sound of their parents' car in the driveway.

"I'll give you fifty dollars if you go out to greet them." She said, but he had already dashed up the stairs, tutu bouncing as he vanished into his room to get changed.

I wrote a sequel earlier today. I'll post that after we've given this first part some time to settle.

Andlat, you've got to give us more stories.  This one was fantastic.

I'll post the sequel in a day or two, maybe sooner. I want to give this some time (as well as the latest part of Dani's Little Sister) instead of releasing a bunch all at once.

Here we have the sequel to Ballet's So Easy where Danny learns just how difficult ballet can be.

Danny sighed as he carried his duffel bag into Madame Toussaint’s Ballet Studio. At least no one he knew came here. Even Daisy was sworn to secrecy since she was the one who had gotten him into this mess!
Following his photoshoot in Daisy’s ballet costume, Danny had thought it was all behind him, but then Daisy had spilled the beans to their parents about him making fun of her for being in ballet. Once they saw the photos and had heard her explain about his natural talent, Danny’s fate was sealed: six months of ballet. Whether luckily or not, he was deemed to not be skilled enough to join Daisy’s class, so he found himself in the beginner class with girls younger than his sister.
The one consolation was that, as a boy, he got his own changing room. The downside, however, was that that was the only difference between him and the other students. He still had to dress exactly the same as them. He stripped to his boxers before unzipping his duffel, groaning. It never got any easier seeing all that pink erupting out of his navy blue bag. Madame Toussaint allowed each class to vote on their uniforms. Daisy’s class had elected for black and white. Danny had missed the first couple classes, so he could do nothing about the fact that his fellow beginners had voted for pink. Pink tights, pink leotard, pink slippers. No tutu, at least, though Daisy had reassured him teasingly that he would almost certainly have a tutu for his first recital in a couple months.
Knowing he did not have much time, Danny grabbed the first item he needed: panties. His boxers would show under his outfit and mom had told him even briefs would, so she had bought him the plainest panties she could find. They were still pink and even had a little lace, but he knew it could have been much worse.
Dressed, he walked sideways with the mirror behind him so he did not have to see his sissy appearance. He grimaced as the girls giggled as he emerged. It had been three weeks and they still giggled each and every time they saw him in his sissy outfit.
“Alright, girls,” Madame Toussaint said. “Let’s focus on our stretches. Danny, join the other girls at the bar s’il te plâit.” Danny took his position. Three weeks in and the fact that Madame Toussaint often referred to him as one of the girls had not stopped stinging.
Danny knew that class was only two hours, but it always felt like more. The girls would all giggle every time he did something especially well, but the threat of having to take three classes a week instead of two was enough to keep him from intentionally failing at the moves they were learning.
“Very good work today everyone.” Madame Toussaint said when class finally ended. “Next time, we will begin preparations for our recital. I want you all to do your very best so that I can make my decision for who will be prima ballerina.” Her eyes seemed to linger on Danny and he blushed. He had no desire whatsoever to be prima ballerina. With his luck, he would end up as the prima ballerina anyway.
Shuffling back to his changing room, he noticed something was amiss at once. His duffel bag was gone! He checked everywhere, turning in a circle as if pirouetting. There was no doubt about it. It was gone. He hurried out of the changing room.
    “Madame Toussaint.” He said.
“Oh, hello, Danny. You were quite skilled today! One of the best” She smiled at him.
“Uh, thanks… hey, my street clothes are gone.”
“Settle down, Danny.” She said gently. “Maybe one of the others took it by mistake. Stay here and I will go check.” She disappeared into the chatter-filled girls’ changing room, emerging a moment later. “Sorry, ma cherie, none of them know what happened to it. Is it far for you to walk home?”
“Walk home? Like this?” Madame Toussaint nodded.
“You’ll have to. Hopefully your clothes will turn up for next time, hmm?” Danny’s face fell. If he had to walk home like this, he would have to leave now before the girls emerged. He sighed and nodded.
“Call me if they turn up.” He quickly pushed open the door and ran home as fast as his slippered little feet would allow him. If he was lucky, he would get home before anyone else. If he was lucky.

So now I open the floor to you all. Should I post other ballet stories here to keep them in one place? Post them in their own separate threads?

Hi Andlat,
Another cute story. Please continue so we can see if Danny gets the lead ballerina role in an elaborate ribbon and lace covered tutu at the upcoming recital.
Could I suggest posting other stories under this heading.
Hugs.
