Dear Santa

Dear Santa,

There's been a terrible mistake.  I was supposed to receive a train set from you this morning along with a new suit to wear to Christmas Church Service.

But when I opened the first parcel there was a huge doll in the box!  The second parcel contained a pink frilly party dress.

Perhaps you thought that the name Dara is a girl's name but it can be either.

The thing is, Mum insisted that I had to wear the dress to Church since my only other good clothes went mysteriously missing when we moved house a couple of weeks ago.

I was mortified and had to wear thick white tights too because the dress was so short and it was a cold frosty morning.

I could hear the people in the pews behind tittering at my sissy outfit - and they probably didn't even realise that I was a boy.  Mum had tied my hair up in pink ribbons and I had to bring the doll with me so I'm sure that nobody thought for a moment that I could possibly be a boy.

So please Santa could you come again tonight with my proper present.  Mum wants to visit Granny tomorrow and I'm going to have to wear the dumb dress again if you don't do something.  I'm depending on you!

Dear Santa,

I had to wear that dumb pink dress to visit Granny today.  She, of course, was delighted.  She was holding a party for her neighbours and I had to act like a girl all day.  I had to show everyone the doll I got from you a pretend to be pleased with it.  People were clearly amused at a 'girl' of my age wearing a frilly pink dress and playing with dolls.



Just after dark, a snow storm came in and we are now stranded at Granny's house for the night.  Mum was obviously quite pleased and said that I could wear one of her old dresses tomorrow.



Mum and Granny decided to put my hair in curls.  Since I was going to have to spend another day dressed like a girl, I didn't see any harm.  It was only after they revealed my ringlets that they told me they had given me a "permanent" and they would last for days!



So I am writing this sitting in a peach nightie on my bed for tonight which has a pink duvet and lots of dolls lined up along the pillows.  I had to spend half-an-hour tieing my ringlets up in ribbons so that they won't be all crooked tomorrow.



Please Santa!  Do something quickly!

Dear Santa,

Have you forgotten me completely?!  After all, you don't have much to do for the next 11 months.



I woke up this morning clutching one of the damn dolls in the bed.  When I undid all the ribbons in my hair I found that the ringlets were perfectly preserved - worse luck.



Mum put me in an old dress of hers.  It was powder blue with white lace trimmings.  After she had zipped me up and I had pulled my white tights on, she handed me a pair of matching panties which also had white lace trimmings.



After I pulled them up under my dress, I checked in the mirror to make sure that if I bent over slightly, they would not show.  But then Mum produced a multi-layered petticoat and pulled it up under my dress.  This made the skirt stand out at quite an angle.



Mum grabbed my hand and pulled me from the room before I could protest.  I glanced back over my shoulder at the mirror and was sure that I caught a glimpse of the white lace on my panties.



During the day we went into the town centre and had tea and scones in a fancy restaurant before taking a look in the women's clothes shops.  I tried to keep my petticoats pushed down but it is hard to remember not to bend over even slightly and several times I heard people titter.



Please Santa do something to save me from this!  I have to go to bed now.  Oh damn!  I forgot to tie up my ringlets.  It takes ages!

Let me thank you again for the pretty pink dress

Every day I love to wear it

At home or out and about

Saturday we went to visit the Zoo

Everyone said how pretty I looked



How Mummy knew that I was writing to you, I don't know

Each night I write again to thank you for the dress and doll

Let's hope that I can wear dresses every day from now on

Please send me another pretty dress



Mummy has pressed my ringlets again

Ella, my Granny says I can stay with her permanently, dressed as a girl.
