I hope not too many people have been disapointed by the title Pig tails at night.

I am curious about whether an actual young lady with this hairstyle sleep in them or has to have them redone each morning

Having grown up with a sister, I can safely say that at least in my extended family, pigtails are definitely removed in the evening.

I was hoping that this was going to be a story about a boy who wakes up to find his hair has been plaited into pigtails during the night, and his clothes replaced by girls' clothes.

Sandra B, That would be a unique concept.  Go to bed as a boy and wake up with hair in pigtails and all of his clothes change to girls dresses and panties.
derry, give these ideas a go.  It would make for a good story.
