Part 53
As the van full of girls got out in excitement, Traci asked Karen if she would get the stroller my mom sent her out of the back of the van while I was unbuckled. "I don't want her holding everyone up and she won't make it walking all day." The other girls were anxious to get going and started whining. "Mom, do we have to wait for the baby? We're big enough to go by ourselves." "Well you know babies take longer."
Sandy told Traci that she would take the big girls on ahead so they could get started but she would wait for her at the gate once the girls ran off inside. "Sure Sandy, makes sense. We won't be too long and Karen can help me get the big baby there."
The stroller was pink and white and had a nursery print on the seat and the canopy. There was a little white tray in front of the seat and a storage area in back at the bottom. There was even a cup holder for Traci to use. "Karen, would you just put the brakes on while I load her and strap her in. Then we can get going and catch up to the others." "Sure Traci, do you want me to put her diaper bag in the back." "That would be great. Would you get her bottle out first and give it to her. I don't want widdle pwincess hungwy." They both roared laughter at that.
I was strapped in to the stroller with a seat belt like my car seat. The tray was lowered and Karen stuck my bottle in my mouth. My legs dangled just above the ground. As Traci pushed me, the wind blew my dress and petticoats up past my waist and my diapers were on full display. The ladies paid no attention as they chatted about what we would do for lunch, etc. with the girls.
When we got to the booth to go in, Traci went forward and paid for her and Karen. The teenager behind the glass looked down at me and she started to laugh. "How old is she?" she asked Traci. "Eight months" "Older than she looks then. Uh mom? looks like she wet her diaper," the girl said with a laugh. "Oh you are right Leslie, the indicator turned green. Is there a changing station around?" " No Ma'am, but there is a bench right behind you that can be used." Traci buttoned her purse and put it back in the stroller. She then turned us around and headed to the bench. Karen followed us both.
The bench was off to the side of the line and directly in the sun. I was getting very warm in my dress and petticoats as they were lifted over my chest and my diaper was removed. Karen held me down while Traci got out the supplies and changed me. Before I knew it, my legs were up in the air and a fresh diaper was under me. Traci put my legs back down and spread them wide while she powdered me.
As I turned to the side to avoid the sun in my eyes, I noticed a crowd of people around us all staring at me, some taking pictures and video of my dilemma, some just taunting, and some outright laughing.
Traci and Karen paid them no mind as they went about changing me and loading me back in the stroller.
Traci put my bottle back in my mouth and made me hold it as she pushed me into the park while chatting with Karen who had a map of the park open. "Let me call Kayla and tell them we will meet them in a half hour by the rides", Karen said while taking out her phone. As she called the twelve year old girl, Traci wheeled me through the crowd toward a sign that read "KiddieLand" There were a lot of strollers and baby carriages going in and out of that area.
Just inside KiddieLand there was a plastic play area for babies. Traci stopped the stroller right next to it. It had plastic walls that helped to keep the babies inside. In the contained area, babies were being helped by adults to crawl around on the fake grass carpet by the big bunny statue, under the big mushroom and down a two foot slide. Others were in the photo area next to teens acting as Alice in Wonderland, a fairy princess and Raggedy Anne. All the babies, boys and girls, were dressed in shorts and t shirts or onesies, except for me. "Karen, I think baby wants to play here for a bit, you can go ahead and find the girls if you want." "Are you kidding Traci, I wouldn't miss this for the world."
Traci whispered in my ear as she took my bottle away. "You play nice and smile and laugh like the other babies or we will be back here every day this week until you do." She unstrapped me and made me waddle next to her as she held my wrist. When we were in and the gate was closed behind us, she made me crawl around and play.
Traci made silly faces at me and played peek a boo behind the bunny and the mushroom. As I crawled around them, she moved over to the next one. At one point, Karen called to Traci and I turned to see what she was doing. Needless to say, she had her phone up and pointed at us. "Just getting a video of mommy and her baby girl." "Thanks Karen." I was sent down the slide and my dress and petticoats were up again as I moved the two feet.
Traci then led me over to the fairy tale characters and had us pose with each one of them while Karen snapped pictures. Alice in Wonderland told me how much she just loved my little dress and put a sticker on me that said "I Spent My Day at KiddieLand." The fairy princess gave me a pinwheel and told me to come back soon. Raggedy Anne gave Traci a coloring page with a big unicorn on it, along with a crayon in case she wanted to help me color it later.
The rest of the areas in KiddieLand were all geared the same way and Traci made sure that we got our money's worth out of it. She made me the most popular baby girl there that day. A lot of younger moms had their phones out snapping my picture the whole time.
I was brought over to the duck pond game and made to pick a duck out of the pool to win a prize. Traci sat me in the caterpillar train and made me ride it with the other babies around in a circle while the parents watched and waived at us. I was pushed on the swing so my dress and petticoats kept going up high, showing off what I had on underneath.
Finally on the way out of KiddieLand, I was sat on a spinning toddler merry go round. When Traci stopped it short I fell off and landed on my bottom. I complained and was greeted with, "Is widdle baby going to cry? Hmmm? Waaaa, Waaaaa, Waaaaaa. Go ahead and cry baby girl so everyone can see it." Knowing better than to defy her, I started bawling. "Cry louder baby, I can't hear you from here Traci said as she took a few steps further away. She repeated it several times.
When she was about ten feet away, a park employee came over to see who was crying so loud. "Is this little girl's mommy or daddy around?" Traci waited for it to be asked again before she walked toward us. "Oh she belongs to me, don't worry she is just tired from all the fun she has been having. She is probably wet and I will just change her right here if you don't mind." "Not a problem Miss, enjoy the rest of your day!" "Thank You, we will!
"Karen, let me change her again and then we will meet up with the other girls for lunch. Sandy must be tired of trying to keep up with them. Maybe you could watch them a bit while we go on the pony rides..."
