Sunday morning found ~L~ynn spending extra time doing her makeup. Dressed only in her new lacy white satin slip and matching bra, she expertly applied the final touches of blush, swirling the brush a final time. Then pointing the brush she so delicately held in her right hand, she looked at herself in the mirror and said, "The time is now." A sheer ivory blouse and a short white linen skirt, ivory pumps worked nicely. She decided to wear her long blonde hair up. The lip color, of course, would be red. When she had finished, she took eyeshadow, mascara, lipstick, lip gloss, lip pencil, eyeliner and her blusher. All of them went in her small black clutch. A touch of perfume and she was off to Cinderella. When she got to her office, it was just after eight o'clock She decided to check the security cameras from the weekend. Rob had visited twice Saturday and had already passed by Sunday morning at six thirty. Perfect, ~L~ynn thought. Then at precisely 7:50 the black BMW found a spot in the parking lot next to Serendipity. ~L~ynn watched Rob get out of his car. She thought it interesting that he didn't choose to park in front of Cinderella and walk across the street to Angie's place. She watched him standing out in front of the cafe, pacing and waiting, looking around for her. His hands were in his pockets. As he looked over at Cinderella, ~Lynn~ chose that moment to exit the store through the front door. Rob's eyes connected with ~L~ynn's for a second...she smiled warmly...he stared. He kept staring. She was a goddess. He never dreamed she would show up this morning in that short white skirt. Her stride was confident. She was beautiful. And feminine. Oh, was she feminine. As she neared, Rob feasted his eyes on her lacy satin bra beneath her sheer blouse. Her makeup? Ultrafeminine. Rob managed to regain his composure, "You clean up nice," he said in his best guy imitation. "Thank you. I've been looking forward to this. You saw me in jeans last week. I just wanted to show you my feminine side. Let me find us a table. She positioned the two of them so that they would be sitting directly across from the display window of Cinderella. ~L~ynn pulled her chair up close to him. They sat down and ordered coffee. They talked about many different things. They enjoyed each other's company. "So where did you go to school?" ~L~ynn asked Rob. "USC. I had a great time." "What did you major in?" she asked him. "Sociology. The easiest major I could find. I just wanted a degree." "How about you?" "Me?," ~L~ynn responded, catching him looking down at the lacy hem of her white slip, showing through her linen skirt. "I have an MBA from Harvard. And I have a BA in Theater." Then she momentarily excused herself to go to the little girls room and freshen her makeup. When she returned she made sure of seating herself in the same chair, close to him, and "accidentally" exposing her lacy slip. She asked the server to bring her the check. While she chatted with the server, Rob's eyes were focused on her slip. He quickly diverted them when ~Lynn~ turned her attention back to him, "It's starting to get crowded here. Why don't we take a walk. I love main street here on a Sunday. It's so quiet. The little shops. The art galleries. Have you ever seen main street here on a Sunday morning, Rob?" "No. I'm usually on the golf course by now." "Oh yes. That's right. Why don't we go for a walk? Please?" As she asked again in her girliest little girl voice, Rob acquiesced. "Thank you. It'll be fun." After Rob insisted on paying the check, the two of them got up and ~L~ynn led Rob. They made a left turn and walked a couple of blocks before crossing over, and two blocks away from the entrance to Cinderella. And then Rob reached for ~L~ynn's hand. They were holding hands. ~L~ynn was thinking fast. She began stopping in front of virtually every store window before getting to Cinderella. She would talk about each store. Each owner. She kept telling herself to slow down. But then they were standing in front of the display window. " And then there's Cinderella." Silence........ Rob was in trouble. What if she tried to get him inside. No, she wouldn't. It was Sunday. They were just out for a walk, remember? He avoided looking directly in the display window..... What if? Keep your cool, he was telling himself. Just be calm. And try to walk away...down the street...away from Cinderella. He gently tugged on ~L~ynn's arm again. But she was busy reaching for something in her clutch. She was fumbling through her makeup. And then she found what she was searching for. "Here it is." She dangled a single key on a short pink satin ribbon directly in front of him. And then this tall gorgeous woman turned to her date and asked him to come inside with her. He looked at her lacy white bra, glanced down at her short white linen skirt, remembered the lace slip...what would he do? Instinctively, he said he preferred to keep walking. But she persisted. "Please, Rob. It's just a dress shop. I know, I know, it's a guy thing. I just want to show you around...take you on a little tour..." Rob tried to rationalize his desire...his vulnerability. It's only one time, he told himself. After this, I won't have to go back. But still he wanted to resist her. He needed to say no. He was a man. "Rob? Pretty please? For me?" Rob was thinking. Looking for resolve. Defend his manhood. Say no...say no.....
